Charged twice on UrbanStall

Ask Ampy to check a double charge on your UrbanStall order. You get a plain-language finding. Ampy does not send the money back.

When the bank or UPI app shows two charges for one UrbanStall order, Ampy can look the payments up and tell you what it found. It will not send the money back.

A double charge is a specific problem. One order, two debits. It is not a slow delivery, and it is not a missing bag. Those have their own asks. This one is only the money that left twice.

Start from the payment screen

Open Ampy from the header on urbanstall.app, or sign in at ampy.lawazia.tech with the phone that paid. Tap Double payment. The line on that chip is: “I think I was charged twice for my UrbanStall order. Can you check?”

You can type it yourself. Say you were charged twice, name yesterday if that is the day, or name the order number if you still have it. You do not need a special format. You do need enough for a lookup.

Your phone is already on the login. Ampy will not ask you to type it, and a typed number would not be the one that runs. The check is bound to the verified phone on the account.

What Ampy still needs from you

The lookup needs a handle on the charge. That handle is the order number, or the date the money left the account. If you know the amount, add it. The amount helps when several payments sit on the same day. The stall name can be mentioned. The stall name alone is not enough to search. “The shop near the clock tower” does not find a Razorpay capture.

If the date is missing and you did not give an order number, Ampy asks one short question, then runs the check. Use the calendar date you mean. “Yesterday” and “today” follow India’s date, the date in the conversation, not a date Ampy invents from an old year.

The date of the charge is the handle. The stall name alone is not a search.

Say it in one message when you can. “I was charged twice yesterday” is a complete start. “Charged twice for this order” plus the order number is a complete start. A story with no day and no order number is not a search yet, and Ampy should ask before it guesses.

What comes back in the thread

Ampy investigates the payments and answers in ordinary language: what it found, and what should happen next. The result also shows as a card in the thread, so you are not left with a pile of raw payment ids to decode yourself. Read the finding. It is the record of the two charges, not a promise that money has moved.

This check does not refund. It does not link a loose payment onto an order. It does not mark anything paid. If the finding says one charge should be returned, Ampy says support will handle that. You finish that step on WhatsApp UrbanStall, the button on the same screen. The hint says it is the same chat as in the UrbanStall app.

Someone reading a blank finding card on the phone

The card is the finding. The refund, if one is due, is not sent from this chat.

A double-charge check explains the payments. It does not refund them.

Keep the finding in the thread if you then open WhatsApp. You can say what Ampy found, in your own words, without inventing an amount the card did not show. Ampy will not invent a payment id, an order id, or a rupee figure that the lookup did not return.

How the day limit works

A check that actually runs uses one of five payment checks in an India day. The clarifying question about the date does not. If you run the check, close the tab, and run it again after lunch, the second run counts as well. When none are left, the screen says to try again tomorrow. The cap resets on the India calendar day.

The check looks only at your verified phone. An order paid from a different phone will not appear, even if you were the person who received the bag. Open Ampy from the phone that paid.

If the account cannot be verified, do not type a number into the chat to force it. Go back through the UrbanStall header so the login carries the phone.

What you can say in the first message

Lead with the double charge, then the day or the order number, then the amount only if you know it. Leave the stall for a later sentence if you want to mention it. Ampy can investigate from the phone on the login plus that day, or from the order number alone. It cannot investigate from a neighbourhood description.

If two different orders were each charged once, this chip is the wrong tool. Say so and ask where those orders are instead. Double payment means one order, or one checkout, charged more than once. Two separate orders that both succeeded are two orders, and Where is my order is the list.

After you have the finding

Read it once before you ask for a second investigation. A second run on the same charge still spends a check. If the card already says what happened, the useful next step is WhatsApp UrbanStall, not another identical lookup. Tell that chat the order number or the date you gave Ampy, and what the finding said should happen next. Leave out any figure the card did not show.

If the finding says there was only one successful charge, the double-debit story stops there. The remaining question may be where the order is, which is a different chip, or a bill, which is a different chip again. Do not keep the payment tool running in the hope it will change its answer.

If you closed the phone, open ampy.lawazia.tech with the same login to see the thread again, or run the check once more if you still do not have the finding. The door is the same UrbanStall header. The phone on the login is still the phone that gets searched.

Come back to ampy.lawazia.tech the same way if you still need the finding later in the day, and use WhatsApp UrbanStall when the finding says the extra charge should be returned.
